It’s been awhile since we last uploaded a mixtape - it’s been at the back of our mind for months. Rather than try and cover all the new stuff we’ve been listening to - and there’s been an avalanche of it in the past couple of weeks - we thought we’d just string together whatever felt right for a friday afternoon in late spring. When it’s almost getting warm enough to entertain the notion of arranging a drink in a beer garden to end the week.
The only plan was to bookend it with DJ Rogers ‘Watch out for the Riders’ (original and HudMo’s re-edit). It seems we were in the mood for some late period disco, a bit of hip hop then a Sade breakdown followed by some old house tracks and some typically brilliant and raw Peaches and Paranoid London. We had to get a bit of Johann Johannsen’s Sicario OST in there and the totally brilliant ‘What’s my Name’ by CAS (Or, now he’s claiming to be dead, CASISDEAD) rounds it off.
Excuse the mixing - or lack of any attempt - it was a friday and we had already started celebrating the sunshine.
