It’s fine to be a bit obsessive about T-shirts - they’re an all too overlooked essential. This is a not-so-basic dressing staple. It’s a t-shirt, so not formal, but there’s a world of difference between a cheap T and good one. The reason some guys look good dressed down is the understanding that even the basics need the same attention to detail as the ‘important pieces’.
This T is crafted from a slightly slubby (woven in a yarn that isn’t uniform thickness) premium lightweight cotton so it drapes properly. The body is cut slightly boxy but due to the drape it wears perfectly. The sleeves are cut quite short, almost cap sleeve, though the wide cut means they don’t fall too short, and can be rolled up if you prefer them shorter. The hems and collar are double needle stitched with no ribbing and there’s a horizontal back seam. Check that against your usual and you’ll see why this is a premium T.
